Water had cleared a bit, netted out all the soil particles and syphoned out the soil sitting on top of the gravel, 100% water change.
The soil was lighter than the gravel so when syphoning the gravel it stayed put, while all the soil got sucked up into the bucket. This was a really efficient way of clearing all the unsightly dirt.
Tied my baby tears to some slate, and buried the slate partially. Waiting on some more plants.
Really happy with this now! It’s looking much better than I thought it would at this point, now that the water is clear enough to see through.
I’ll be adding more plants and doing another water change in the next post.
