Day 3

The water has cleared and it’s a stable 25c.

The cube shrimp tank looks great. I’ll just have to hope some of the more harder to keep plants don’t die off as it’ll be a pain re-planting now.

Acclimating red cherry shrimp for the nano cube shrimp tank

I caught my shrimp with a net and acclimatised them the same way I always do. Drip method for the course of 1.5 – 2 hours. This ensures the best survival rate, and happy shrimp.

I’m very pleased with the end result, I may do a review on the new filter when it comes too. It’s going to be a mini submersible sponge filter from Aquael. Shrimp safe.

I got some great photos and I’ve even done a video! I’ll also take some more of my signature macro shots once everything’s settled down.

I recorded the whole process of setting up this tank. Unfortunately I had to use my GoPro as I don’t have anything better to record with. The GoPro isn’t the most suitable recorder for this sort of thing.

However the video doesn’t look too bad, and it’s my first one so bare with.
